The John Carroll University Board of Directors and the Presidential Search Committee are conducting a national search for the University’s 25th president. We want to hire a dynamic leader who can help lead us in an increasingly competitive and challenging university environment. The Board is committed to selecting a new president who will embrace John Carroll University’s Jesuit mission and values, build upon our academic and scholarly excellence, affirm our strong student experience, help us grow our enrollment, and increase our financial strength.

Appointment of Search Committee; selection of Executive Search Firm; campus listening sessions with students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Search Committee meeting; Position Profile finalized; survey and website launched.

July 2017
Confidential sourcing of candidates begins. Nominations should be submitted directly to Isaacson, Miller at All candidates will be treated confidentially.

Late summer and autumn 2017
Search Committee meetings to review candidate, narrow the field, and conduct preliminary candidate interviews.

Late autumn 2017 into winter
Finalists identified and carefully vetted.

Winter or early spring 2018
Announcement of the next President of John Carroll University.
